Privacy
Your files never leave your browser. Tabularly's tools — merge, append, dedupe, filter, column-pick, format conversion — all run as JavaScript in the page you load. There is no server step that touches your data. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's DevTools network tab, drop a file into the tool, and watch — no upload appears.
What we collect
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, IP-anonymized analytics service. We collect:
- Page views (which pages people visit)
- Categorical event counts — for example, "join was executed" or "size limit was hit"
- The category of file format used (csv, tsv, xlsx) — but never the filename or contents
- Aggregate page-load timing for performance monitoring
What we never collect
The following never leaves your browser, ever:
- The contents of your files
- The filenames of your files
- The column names in your files
- The cell values in your files
- The number of rows in your files
Cookies and tracking
We don't use cookies. We don't track you across sites. Cloudflare Web Analytics is the only telemetry and it is cookieless and IP-anonymized.
The only thing Tabularly stores locally on your device is a flag in localStorage recording
whether you've dismissed the one-time analytics notice — so we don't show it to you again.
Third-party services
We use a small number of carefully-chosen third-party services:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides analytics. They see your IP for one HTTP request (in order to serve you the page), then drop it.
- Tally — powers the Feedback form. They see only what you choose to submit (your feedback text + optional email). Tally does not load until you click the Feedback button.
Verification
Our claim that "no file data leaves your browser" is enforced by an automated test that runs on every release. The test drops a file, executes a join, downloads the result, and asserts that zero cross-origin network requests fire during that flow. If the assertion fails, the release is blocked.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change. Significant changes will also be announced in the product itself, not buried in a footer.
