Tabularly

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tabularly (the "Service") — the website at tabularly.app and the tools it provides for working with tabular data in your browser. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

We've written these in plain language on purpose. The goal is for them to be readable, not to bury anything.

1. What Tabularly is

Tabularly runs entirely in your browser. It lets you merge, append, dedupe, filter, sort, and pick columns on CSV, TSV, and spreadsheet files, and convert between formats — all locally on your own device. Your files are processed by JavaScript running in the page you load; they are not uploaded to a server. See our Privacy page for the details and how that claim is enforced.

2. Free and Pro plans

The Free plan is available without an account and handles files up to a published size limit. The Pro plan removes that limit (and other gating) and is billed on a recurring subscription:

The current prices and exactly what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page, which forms part of these Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't see or store your full card details.

3. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account. When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you are not charged again. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial periods after that.

If you have a problem with your subscription, email us at hello@tabularly.app and we'll work with you on a refund. We review refund requests individually and aim to be fair; refunds are granted at our discretion.

4. Your account

You only need an account for Pro. You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for the activity that happens under it. Provide accurate information (a working email) so we can reach you about your subscription. Don't share your account in a way that circumvents the plan you've paid for.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Because your files are processed locally, what you do with your own data on your own device is your business — these restrictions are about the Service itself, not your file contents.

6. Your data and files

Your files stay on your device. We don't receive, store, or have access to their contents. You retain all rights to your data. What we do and don't collect is described in full on our Privacy page.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — its software, design, and brand — belongs to us. These Terms don't transfer any of that to you; they grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive right to use the Service as intended. You keep everything that is yours: your files and the outputs you produce with the Service are yours.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on a few third parties, each governed by its own terms:

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard to make the tools correct, but you are responsible for verifying results that matter to you. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every file or browser.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tabularly and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for Free users, is zero).

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update, add, or remove features, and we may change these Terms. If we make a significant change to these Terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice in the product itself rather than burying it. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time, and cancel a Pro subscription from your account. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms (for example, the acceptable-use section). If we ever discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Tabularly is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing here removes consumer-protection rights you have under the mandatory law of your own country.

14. Contact
